Cannot see the video
Symptoms:

You could not see the video that the questions are referring to.

Cause of the Problem:

Either the video did not finish downloading, or the version of Media Player  is too low.

Solution:

  • If there is a "Downloading" message:
    If you see a ‘please wait, downloading’ message on the left hand side of the screen ,
    it seems that the video file did not fully download yet, it might finish in a matter of minutes.
    NOTE - You may still be able to view it as  the video clips are sometimes displayed twice. 

  • If the screen is just blank:
    • Check if the browser is stuck:
      Can you minimize the browser window, or open one of the menus? If the browser does not respond click here.

  • Optional: perform media computability test:
    To see if your system supports the media files, Open a browser window, and type the following in the address bar:

If you cannot see and hear the media file, your system does not support this media.

  •  For WMV files - Check Media Player version:
    • Open the media player:
      Open the START menu, and go to PROGRAMS->ACCESSORIES->ENTERTAINMENT, and click on WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER.

    • Check the version:
      Open the help menu on the right hand side of the menu bar, and choose ‘about windows media player’, and see what the version is.
      • If the version is 6.4 or higher – it’s compatible.
      • If the version is lower then 6.4 – it’s not compatible:
        It seems that the Windows Media Player you are using is outdated and does not meet our system requirements, you might try to download a newer version of media player from the following URL:
        http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/
        In the mean time, try to continue and answer questions that you can.

  • For QuickTime  files - Check QuickTime version:
    • Open the QT player:
      Open the START menu, and go to PROGRAMS->QuickTime, and click on QuickTime PLAYER.

    • Check the version:
      Open the help menu on the right hand side of the menu bar, and choose ‘about QuickTime player’, and see what the version is.
